Everything on this site — including the technical articles under Insights and the project write-ups — is general information published for a general audience. It is not structural engineering advice for any specific building, and it must not be relied on as such.
Structural advice depends on the particular structure, the ground beneath it, the loading it carries, the codes in force where it stands, and the condition it is actually in. None of that can be established from a web page. If you have a structural concern about a specific building, engage a qualified structural engineer to inspect it.
Project information
Project pages describe work we carried out, with the client’s permission where required. Figures quoted are as-designed or as-measured values for that project and are not representations about what any other project will achieve. Some client names are withheld under confidentiality agreements.
Accuracy
We take care to keep this site accurate, but design codes are revised and practice changes. Articles carry a publication date and, where revised, an updated date. We do not warrant that any article reflects the current edition of a code at the time you read it.
