What clients ask before appointing us
Which design codes do you work to?
Indian Standards, as the building requires: IS 456 for reinforced concrete, IS 800 for steel, and IS 1893 with IS 13920 for seismic design and ductile detailing. Where a client or lender requires assessment against a second code, we state in writing which code governs each check before design starts.
How quickly can you mobilise on an audit?
A visual condition survey usually begins within a week or two of appointment. Where non-destructive testing, core sampling or rebound-hammer work is needed, allow further time for laboratory results before the report can be issued.
Do you take on projects where construction has already started?
Yes, and a good deal of our work arrives that way. We will not certify work we have not been able to verify, so the first deliverable is always a gap report: what can be confirmed from records, what needs opening up, and what must be tested.
Can you work alongside our existing consultant?
Yes. For peer review we contract directly with the client rather than the design team, and share findings with both parties at the same time. Independence is the product — anything less is not worth commissioning.
What do you need to give a fee proposal?
Architectural plans, even at concept stage; the soil investigation report if one exists; the intended use and loading; and the programme. That is enough for a fixed fee on most building projects.
Do you provide site supervision?
Yes — stage inspections, shop-drawing review and response to site queries, as periodic construction support. Full project management consultancy is available as a separate appointment where the programme or complexity warrants it.
